27th May 2004 Sailing: Aberystwyth outside the glen again Wind Direction: se Wind Stength: 15kts Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: 17 Sea Temperature: 15 Weather: sunny cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: another afternoon spent floating around in the water - quite busy today, loads of other inflatable dinghys out too!! also a jet ski was zipping about along with the lifeboat which seemed to be doing nothing else but showing off speeding around in the bay. we did notice a couple of people who had floated out too far had managed to get a ride in the lifeboat, which brought them back into shore, so our group of intrepid dinghy sailors headed out a bit further to see if we could get a ride too, but they just warned us that the currents were a lot stronger past the bouys and it was also really windy out there, so we should go back in. no ride. never mind though! nice boat, put our blow up dinghys to shame!!! good fun but the weather could have been a bit better than it was. looks like a months worth of gorgeous sunshine is coming to an end :( |
